Annie Seaton writes about her beloved Australian environment, telling fabulous, fast paced stories, while also showing her love for many of Australia’s pristine locations. Your new book Come Back to Me (Love Across Time Book 1) came out this week. What was the inspiration for the story?
My love of seventies music, and this book, were inspired by David Bowie. The time travel was inspired by Diana Gabaldon’s By Diana Gabaldon Cross Stitch (Outlander). The acknowledgement is: In memory of David Bowie, who wrote Starman, the song that began my lifelong love affair with his music. His music has given me so much happiness over the years, and inspired this story where Davy Morgan wrote his own music.

What place would you most like to visit?
I have been to Glastonbury, but I would love to go there when the music festival is on…especially in the 1970s!

Give us an insight into your main character. What does he/she do that is so special?
Megan has been accused of a breach of ethics in her university career, and she takes the huge step of leaving the country to continue on a research trip that was already organised, instead of staying to fight the accusation. Her strength of character is shown in the way she copes with going back in time.

Out of all your books, do you have a favorite one? If not, then which one is closest to your heart?
I love Italian Affair. The Italian setting, the Brianna, thequirky, feisty heroine, and the change that Tomas, the hero, makes in his life. Come Back to Me is also a favourite as it is close to my heart, with her angst in the workplace. books2read.com/u/b6rRW0

Do you want each book to stand on its own, or are you trying to build a body of work with connections between each book?
Come Back to Me (Love Across Time Book 1) is the first in a time travel series. Follow Me, Book 2 will be out next year. Many of my previous books are in series. Half Moon Bay series, the Affairs series, the Porter Sisters series, the Whitsundays series, and the Prickle Farm series, are some of them.
